roadmap to corporate prosperity ®
Corporate growth and prosperity is an illusive goal, especially in the age of Virtual Teams (teams that are physically disconnected and perform most of their duties through the use of various technologies). To achieve prosperity a number of factors must coalesce. Above all, three elements are essential to developing and maintaining focus, thereby leading to corporate prosperity. As depicted in Figure 1 they are: Visioning, Organization and Execution.

Figure 1: V-O-E® Proven Success Approach
By Visioning we mean a process that allows you to think ahead to where you want to be and what you want to be doing, and to create workable plans to lead you there. Successful businesses develop and maintain a clear sense of where they are going and develop a ‘roadmap’ to guide them toward their target.
Next, it is essential that the right people be in the right place at the right time to execute the Plan (Organization). Further, those ‘people’/resources must be empowered to determine how best to complete required tasks and, using their knowledge and skills, be given the latitude to do what is asked of them. In addition, they must be encouraged to continually uncover ways to better complete those tasks, i.e., always be in continuous improvement mode.
Finally, there must be a comprehensive set of metrics to measure the progress made by the Organization to move the Company forward (Execution). Those metrics should be included in a results ‘dashboard’ to enable immediate access to performance data; thereby helping management to identify areas needing improvement.
